Why is the media NOT asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved this problem?

Why isn't the Federal government moving Iowa people
into free hotels in Chicago and Minneapolis ?
When will Spike Lee say that the Federal government
blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines ?
Where are Sean Penn, Bono, and the Dixie Chicks?
Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes, cases of beer and television sets?
When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants
to rebuild a 'vanilla' Iowa .. because that's what God wants?
Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete
with reports of shootings at rescuers, of rapes and murder?
Where are all the people screaming that George Bush hates
white, rural people? My God, where are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Oprah, and Ray Coniff Jr?
How come you will never hear about the
Iowa flooding ever again? Where are the government bail out vouchers? The government debit cards?
There must be one hell of a big difference between the value of the people of Iowa and value of the the people of Louisiana . Pass this unedited, un-doctored, factual information forward ..... to get Americans thinking.

Yes, there are some good things about Iowa, if it is passing. I think this was the last great hurray. I was proud, while visiting my local barber which I did several times a week at the time for the news and conversation. I heard the words of FEMA workers, insurance men, contractors, and other workers stopping in to get a hair cut. Listening to their praise of these people was fantastic. And, seeing in their eyes, fear when discussing that other disaster while they were so at ease being here.
Our last two governors have sold us out, however, along with many mayors. Inviting people like those from that other disaster in, people Chicago and Peoria were getting rid of, secretly for the most part. Then, they made it so that as soon as the criminals among them (and there are many) are off parole or probation, they no longer need to attempt to get their rights back (save gun ownership, of course or at least(?)). Now, a guy who killed 3 people, but got paroled in Chicago because they can't cage them all, as soon as his 5 years or over, guess what, he votes. Guess who he votes for... his own, of course. We are a permanent Democratic state. And more, illegal immigration has been give a state wide blind eye. We now have towns that are in the 70% Latino range.
The list of judicial and legislative sin her is big and growing. From those noted, to "gay marriage", to a state-wide ban on smoking in bars... I feel sorry for the people who can't get out or do not yet understand where this is going. This has become an evil state, and I think it has to trickle down. Sainthood cannot be legislated, taxation will not save anyone only enslave them, and honoring illegality and being allowing to those groups cannot be good.
This fantastic reaction to disaster may never be seen again. As for the federal government, I do not really want their help. It costs far too much in far too many ways. I would prefer the government step out of such things. The charity of people, who receive enough of their money to do so, is far greater and even if not, more appreciated. Plus, I would guess it would be more rightly distributed. Just some thoughts.

I'se so sad to learn that the core is rotting in Iowa as we read this. Fear is that Iowa is a microcosm of what's comin' to every state--the inmates runnin' the asylum.
It's a strange world when the evil and murderous has rights that ain't accorded to the ordinary good folks.
But then, is we surprised? When the expectation of an eternal judgment is nuthin' but a joke why be shocked herds of horror is unleashed?

Oh hell. I swooped by the front porch lookin' for something lite - but didn't find it, so decided to jump into the deep end of the pond even though I know there is not common ground here, but what the heck! (whew - that's a mixed metaphor indeed!)
why do we have to turn this into a n us vs. them kind of thing? A competition of disasters?
i'm sure somewhere someone is thinking that this is god's judgment on Iowa for its sins - that wretched banning of smoking in bars (after all, i sure as hell have the right to inflict second-hand smoke and the health problems it causes on all who are around me - including the barkeep and wait staff who suck that cancerous smoke up in long shifts at a stretch - if they don't like it - they should get a different job); the egregious decision on same-sex marriage (after all, if we start granting equal rights to everyone - heck - where the hell will that lead? not to mention - i might be forced into a gay marriage myself - egawds!); and of course, worse still - taxation as slavery - because certainly funding transportation and infrastructure is the task of the private sector, and we don't need public education anyway! Let everyone take care of their own - the hell with equal opportunity and that so-called American Dream - let's stick to social Darwinism.
But I wish Iowa and her people well.
