Save The West : Eat More Croissants!

History is fun iffin' ya know jes' whar' ter look.

So, ya'll all knows that the King of Poland, Jan Sobieski, saved Vienna from the Ottoman Turks in 1683--September 11th to be exact
( As Osama told us).

Mayhap ya' never knowed that a French pastry chef was so relieved that he shaped his pastry into a cresecent--ya know? the symbol of Islam? The chef's way of saying "we'll eat you fer breakfast"!

So, chow down on Croissants (crescents) as a reminder that iffin' we in the WEST will it, we can eat them fer breakfast, lunch and dinner!

( OK, ok...I knows that culinary history claims ain't no mention of croissants before 1850s...but I like the legend anyhow!!)

France had already drawn up their surrender agreement when Sobieski pulled off his upset victory.

They'd already begun converting the cathedral at Notre Dame into a mosque.

Grrrherhahahahahahahhaahhaha!

Yes, I know ONE french king actually fought the muzzies at some point. Charlemagne?

My guess is he was only half-french!

Artfulsub, HammerMan was part German.

France today mirrors France of then.

Yeah, the French. September 2-4 1792 was the September Massacre, a time of slaughter in the name of "Liberty, Equality and Brotherhood." Thousands slaughtered by the liberals of the day.
