After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state

Prospect? hehe That's like facing the "prospect" that the sun is warming or that wind, when it exists, does indeed blow. It is not like a lot of good people haven't been trying to tell them that though, including the first men of this nation, states, and us common folk.

But you can't tell some people, they will have to learn, and burn, on their own I guess. Though God thinks it's a great loss, and I shouldn't second guess Him... I am weak. :p Oh bother, fine... the more people on the way to heaven the better. Fie!

I wonder what the results would be if a soundly-designed non-troll Poll asked the following Yes or No question of "americans":

Do our rights come from a Sovereign God?

Yes or No.

I'd guess most today would say "No". Whatchu think, Aunty?

Nope...we won't know for sure...'cause most folks that come to any of our blogs agree :)... but as bad as things are... I STILL SAY, if one COULD ... WE WOULD FIND... that at least a greater majority of us STILL believe there is divine power, a God, somewhere out there just hanging us all on...by a mere thread it seems somedays... but YES

THERE IS A GOD...many of us see Him in a different light with maybe a different word or two... but GOD is there... Our rights DO COME FROM A SOVEREIGN GOD!

Me being raised by a Southern God...it's a Baptist God...but my Catholic and Jew and Episcopalian and Methodist, and some Church of Christ friends...etc..you know...

YES...YES...Our rights came from a SOVEREIGN GOD :) AND...for those of us sovereign boys & girls that ever met...he meant a marriage to be between one each of us from a different sex :)

Doom,

good people have been tryin' to tell 'em--does ya life an eyebrow iffin' I say the last big shout out on it were 1861?

Aunty is unreconstructed. The South lost, so now the whole country loses. When state's rights "lost" then the centralized federal gubmint grew to the monstrous octopus of sci-fi nightmares: a tentacle in every aspect of yore daily life.

On the God question, the Founders unnerstood, an the states too. If thar's no power beyond the state, beyond gubmint, then gubmint becomes a tyrant.

Troll-Man,

I'se thinkin' it's a close race, but the "God is the author of true human rights" will nose out the naysayers.

Malinda!!

Hey hey you!

Hopes youse right--as I say above--most would still acknowledge that thar's a Sovereign God, even if those who say so soan always live as if the beleive it.

Reckon I think those of us who does believe ain't done our jobs like we should, I mean, we ain't protected the true rihts we had--stated lettin' stuff git Godless in the 50s...now people is used to living as if they's god themselves an' can remake the rules of the universe--including marriage.

I'se encouraged by some state governors saying "shove it!" to the feds. But is thar' enough of them? If each STATE refused to apply these idiotic oppressive fed policies an' even laws (whar' the fed law is unjust) then the feds will have to reexamine the whole thang.

Here I go to preachin', but chillen's a nation that doan have families and take care of families? That nation cain't survive fer very long.

A nation an' culture that tolerates gross assaults on the child (abortion), assaults on marriage (gay "rights") is a nation that is suicidal.
Literally.

Of course I would lift an eyebrow. Because it would mean someone knows her history... which does cause one to raise an eyebrow these days. Was it Jefferson, or one of the others who said that there should be an armed revolt about every 7 years? Well, that might be a bit much, but 148 years is a bit anemic too.

I might add, too though, that the next "bit shout of it" might be coming soon. Only this time it won't be North versus South. This time many Yanks will be with you all. And this time, we best win. Knowing we won't have any allies in the world, they have all gone "North" will help in a way.

The South initially had many allies, and in principle. But the North claimed them due to practicality. We won't be counting on Britain this time, or the other turncoats. It makes the task a bit more difficult, but we know were we stand. I guess it depends on where the military and police stand, as well. Oh, but then again, what could Britain, France, or any other nation really do? So much for allies, even when we might become a 'united we stand' nation again. Well, maybe they can take the losers. Should fit right in with their slave populations anyway.

Do our rights come from a Sovereign God? Yes.

These are the inalienable rights that no government has the right to suppress.
