Ya'll know about our own Raptor (F-22) being the dominator of the skies at over Mach 2? Ain't no need to review the necessity fer superior airpower, but the thang is, do we have it? Superior power, I mean.

The Chinese is claimin' their J-10 can hit Mach 4!! Now one of you military types hurry to tell me --is that so? Or is that chest beatin'?

The Raptor is such a goody cause it is nearly invisible,(stealth tech) and can dance along at supersonic cruise speeds, and carries meanness in its AIM-120's, GBU-32 JDAMS and heat-seeking AIM-9's.

But now my sources is worrin' me a tad. Seems after the Chinese tested their sub--got up close enough to kiss a US boat--they now is pushin' to roll out two of these J-10s-- with a bigger payload than the F-22--per month!! Added to the 60 or so they already have.

Meanwhile in Central Asia the playing field is heaving up a bit--the hard truth of cheap oil for growth is China & India's white-hot focus. Case anyone missed it, our own Lugar was deadly blunt at the late Nov. NATO yak--said that the Atlantic Alliance better plan to pressure the oil & gas nations not to attmept to use oil fer no geopolitical mischief. Right.

Lugar wanted NATO's Article 5 (provision that any armed attack against any member country as an attack against all) applied to a cutoff in energy supplies or for developing alternatives to existing pipeline routes. NAto didn't buy it, but that Lugar said it outloud is a tip of the hand.

.........so, does ya'll recall that when our fellas got to Afghanistan they found Chinese soldiers there? Or that on 9-11 the CHinese and the Afghans signed a mutual pact??

( Subject: US Troops Kill Chinese Soldiers Fighting with Taliban!
Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 07:07:53 -0700
FINANCIAL SENTINEL INTELLIGENCE REPORT - Chinese Soldiers Fighting
with Taliban Killed by US Troops: Military sources in Dushanbe and Bishbek,
capitals of Tajikistan and Kyrgizstan respectively, report at least 15 Chinese fighting men on the side of the Taliban, were killed in last weeks U.S. bombing over Kahandar and in a separate incident on the ground, according to the DEBKA intelligence news service.)

If memory serves, the reason the russians was at war in Afghanistan--whar' Osama first shined like a star---was ter get control of a way to haul Chechen oil out to the Indian ocean--right?

And, um, let's see, on July 16 2001, just 8 weeks before 9-11, Vladimir Putin and China's Jiang signed their so called "Treaty of Good Neighborly Relations, Friendship and Cooperation," a first for the nations since 1949. They said it was so they could cooperate to build a "multipolar world". Oh.

Today chickens--yes last day of 2006-- the Chinese bought 2 billion worth of rights to Khazakstan's oil production of 2007. (In 2000 we learned the Khazaks have about 20-30 billion barrels in newly found crude deposits under their side of the Caspian Sea. Fer comparision, the US reserves is estimated at 21 billion barrells)

Well, if we was to make a puzzle outa this--what would the picture be when all these pieces was in place?

the need for resources is an incredible motivator.

No doubt about it: While we've been busy pounding the sand in the Middle East, Russia and China have been gleefully rubbing their oily little hands together.

China can make bombs out of its people and bombard us. The supply is large, but they really have no beef against us, I would worry more about how our economy could fall behind places like Australia, which is doing damn good. Military power and might is the distraction to everyday problems that affect us on an individual basis. The true enemy is closer than Asia or Europe, the true enemie(s) continue the unlimited supply of pleasure with no worries, "let it snow..." If we don't reinvent some sort of game, the true enemy is right here on the same strip of land, waiting its turn, forming alliances, giving each other olive oil, olive oil discounts, rubbing it on each other and actually having talks with, China!, well Europe too. Armed conflict is a preemptive strategy to economical wars, if you hit there first, militay might and power is a given.

Thanks for the love Aunty. Love ya too.

If they can go mach 4,they stole the technology from America or it was sold to them by a liberal, for centuries China slept, after 100 years of American technological developement and billions upon billions spent developing it,China awakes to buy or steal thier way into the 21st century, where as Russia went bankrupt trying to keep pace..The real sleeping dragon China has awaken, too bad it can't feed it's 1.5 billion citizens....no need to worry about the Chinese anyhow one well placed rocket on the new 3 rivers dam would wipe out 400,000 chinese along the banks and shores that the dam created. As would one well placed earthquake by God Almighty.

What?? Sweet Shoat, no kiddin'? I din't know about the dam--oh my...

But youse sooo right on the theft of tech--Someone tole Aunty that China had a big problem with freedom...that is, since capitalism and healthy economies depend on free peoples who are motivated to create, invent and work hard, that China would always have to steal or copy, or permit their people to be free --an' that ain't likely ter happen.

But Sweet Shoat, does ya think we do have a mach 4 somewhar' under cover? or...is their claim of mach 4 a joke?

Hey Anon--airborne are ya?

(Caution BACK Porch readers, this response to Anon is a carryover from a discussion on another blogger's site.)

Listen, Anon, re-read the flap back at the nest--note that Aunty very distinctly did NOT refer to the Cameron Group study, rather the Vancouver study that does not have the questionable collection method.

But in the end, it doan matter--because the truth remains: those who practice homosexuality die younger. These are medical stats and not obituary stats. THeys a heap o' studies out there--it ain't based on Cameron.

If youse a carin' sort of debater, then check fer yoreself --see the Center for Disease Control on the rate of STDs other than AIDS that are out of control in the homosexual communities....these weaken the immune system, leads to other diseases, as with the cervical and uterine cancer rate among lesbians -- triple that of heterosexual women.

Looky, I'se tellin' you true--Aunty ain't no bigot homophobe, chile'. But Aunty doan shrink from this reality either: Some folks would let others die rather than tell them the truth. Why? Cause they won't risk their status a "tolerant progressive".

OH, sure, they's a a boat-load of bigwigs who'll sell you down the river fer the sake o' they own name makin' (stay away from such as Marlon Bailey, Wendy Brown and Judith Butler at UC Beserk)

The body warn't made for homosexual acts. Like the butter commercial: You cain't fool Mother Nature. It is not so surprising to find out that the body jes' doan do well when you missues it.

Now, this is not to say anything unkind about any persons who have or do these things. In fact, the true kindness is to tell those we respect and love that certain behaviors is life threatin'.

Folks, an ANON commenter wanted ter carry on a discussion about homosexual lifestyles and the health or lack there of of that lifestyle. Anon brough the topic from another blogsite.

But others noted that topic was off topic from the headin' and could I either change the the Back Porch headin' or move the discussion of life-span of gay folks to email.

That seems fair, since the heading here is about the US Raptor and Chinese planes.

Anon, youse most welcome ter email me with yore comments or references. In the near future Aunty jes' might upload a post on the subject youse wantin' ter pursue. If ya' wanna save up fer that, thas' fine too.

New post comin' soon on global issues.

Reference the J10, not possible to do Mach 4.Look at the engine inlets and aircraft configuration. Compare with the SR71 which can do Mach4+.The engine would flame out due to dynamic shock/pressure waves from the rectangular inlet. Heating on the nose and leading edges would melt off much of the existing structures (SR71 nose and canopy vs. J10) at high mach. Also carries fuel and weapons externally; again not possible at Mach 4 unless the Chinese have incredibly new composites, glasses, explosives and fuels. Possible but that many breakthroughs of such magnitude would be impossible to keep a secret for very long. This is possibly a threat to F18 class US birds at Mach 2 but it is not a mach 4 imperialist killer.
